Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Crawlsonar (the “Service”) — the website at crawlsonar.com, its free checks, the AI-visibility tracking, monitoring and API plans, and the reports and emails they produce. By using the Service you agree to them. If you are using the Service for a company, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Northstar Infinity Works Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17326480), registered office C/O Elsg Ltd, Regus, Building 2, Marlins Meadow, Watford, England, WD18 8YA. Contact: [email protected]. Privacy questions: [email protected].
2. The Service
- Free tools run without an account on the public address you enter and report what a public visitor could observe: DNS, TLS, HTTP headers, robots.txt, llms.txt, structured data, page content as a crawler reads it, email authentication records and similar. They stay free.
- Paid plans add what a one-shot check cannot: AI-visibility tracking over time (sampling AI assistants with your prompts and recording whether your brand, competitors and sources appear), website and domain monitoring with alerts, and API access with higher quotas. What each plan includes is stated on the pricing page at the time you subscribe.
- Accounts are created with an email address (magic link) and, where enabled, a passkey. You are responsible for keeping access to your inbox and devices secure and for what happens under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the Service to check and track websites and brands you own, manage, or are otherwise entitled to assess, and public sites for legitimate research. You must not:
- use the Service to attack, overload or probe a site, or to circumvent another site’s access controls;
- circumvent our rate limits, quotas or plan limits, share one account’s API keys beyond your organisation, or automate the free tools at a scale that harms the Service for others;
- resell the Service or its outputs as a standalone product without a plan that permits it (Agency plans permit white-label reports for your clients);
- use the Service for anything unlawful, or to target individuals.
We may suspend or limit access that breaches these rules, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
4. Plans, trials and billing
- Paid plans are billed by Stripe, monthly or annually in advance, in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes are added where required.
- Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial taken on a card. At the end of the trial the plan is charged automatically unless you cancel first. We email you before the first charge.
- Plans renew automatically at the end of each period. You can change or cancel at any time from the billing portal in your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and you keep access until then.
- If we change a plan’s price we give at least 30 days’ notice by email; the new price applies from your next renewal after that notice. Existing subscriptions keep their price until then.
- If a payment fails we tell you and retry; if it stays unpaid we may downgrade the account to the free plan. Your projects and history are kept as described in section 6.
5. Refunds
If a paid plan is not right for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of the first charge and we refund it. Later charges are not refunded except where the law requires it or the Service was materially unavailable through our fault. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
6. Your content and data
- You keep ownership of what you put into the Service — your prompts, projects, competitor lists, aliases — and of the reports it produces for you. You grant us the right to process them to provide the Service.
- We process personal data as described in the Privacy & Data Protection Policy. Marketing email needs your consent and every such message has a one-click unsubscribe.
- When a paid plan ends, projects and history remain available on the free plan within its limits; we may delete data from closed or long-inactive accounts after notice. You can ask for deletion at any time.
- Reports about third-party websites are automated observations of public responses at a point in time. A site owner who wants a shared report removed can contact us; we act on reasonable requests.
7. AI-visibility data
Tracking results are sampled observations of third-party AI systems (for example ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews) at the time of each cycle. Those systems change without notice, answers vary between runs, and we do not control them. Results describe visibility, not traffic or revenue, and are not a guarantee that any assistant will recommend you. They are information, not professional advice.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, scoring methods, text and design belong to Northstar Infinity Works Ltd or its licensors. You may use the reports and data the Service generates for your own business, including sharing them with clients; on the Agency plan you may present white-label reports as your deliverable. You may not copy the Service itself, or use our name or marks to suggest endorsement, without written permission.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and accurate but provide it “as is”; no plan includes an uptime guarantee unless one is expressly stated on the pricing page. We may change, add or retire features; if a change materially reduces a paid plan we tell you in advance and you may cancel for a pro-rata refund of the unused period.
10. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under English law.
- Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, or for decisions you take based on the Service’s outputs.
- Subject to that, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period (or £100 if you paid nothing).
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the Service at any time; cancel paid plans from the billing portal and ask us to delete the account. We may end or suspend the agreement for breach of section 3, non-payment, or where providing the Service becomes unlawful, giving notice where reasonably possible. Sections 6–10 and 12 survive termination.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect and noted on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction — except that consumers resident elsewhere keep the protections and forum of their local law where it says so.
